It is hard to say the cause of this problem in GTA 5 on PC, but there is one solution that can help you.

  1. Go to My Documents folder in the folder with save files from GTA 5 (My Documents\Rockstar Games\GTAV\).
  2. Delete launcher.log and settings.xml.
  3. Next, navigate to the folder Profiles, delete files cfg.dat, pc_settings.bin and folder Control. Do not worry about your savings as they will not be affected, you just have to move to game settings and change them as by deleting files in the previous step, we dropped them into standard.
  4. Now you can safely enter the GTA Online. If this solution does not help you, repeat the steps above again.
