Hackers broke the base of Opera Sync data

Opera Software has announced that the sync feature on the Opera browser was recently hacked and user data were in danger. As a security measure adopted by a Norwegian development company Software advises all users to reset their passwords.

Opera browser sync function allows users to work efficiently on a PC, smartphones and tablets. The company reported that its servers have been attacked recently, and while the attack was quickly discovered, the credentials of some users was endangered. In addition, you must reset the passwords for third-party services, if they were associated with Opera browser sync function.

The company assured that all credentials are stored using the synchronization functions are hashing. Alluding to the fact that even if the data without the encryption keys are stolen they can not use.
